Nope! We achieve the same effect, essentially, due to the internals of our 180 Tech resonator in the rear. Highway is drone free and aggression is always on tap with the drop of the throttle. No need for a valve.

@@awetuningplease let the community know if/when you change your mind and decide to release support for the active exhaust valve. most other competitors support it and most of the de5 community wants it. i for sure would buy an AWE exhaust if you had a valved version.

@@zorbathebuddha7883 No plans. We didn't find any noticeable change in volume between modes during R&D that demanded a valve to be included. It's only closed when in comfort mode, of which still opens upon a throttle threshold. Sport and Sport+ mode renders the valve in the open position, and Sport+ introduces burbles from the ECU. On the stock configuration-the exhaust is routed through the side mufflers when the valve is closed to mitigate interior volume (i.e. any drone-prone frequencies), and then when it’s open, it’s sent through the center (as you likely already know). The benefit of our configurations renders a full, straight-through exhaust path that is sent through our 180 Tech resonator, killing drone while providing max output, regardless of the driving mode, at all times, without sounding like a vacuum. It’s the best of both worlds. Thanks to the design of our 180 Tech resonators, it’s not difficult to creep through a neighborhood without causing a ruckus. Low throttle with our Touring Edition is very civil, minus any gimmicks, just with a deeper note. Further, the competition also included valves for the FL5 simply because they thought they had to since it was on the stock exhaust, but we debunked that. We don’t base our designs on what competition does, we do what’s logical for the performance and tone of the exhausts we create for the platform. We will also be offering a full 3” configuration from front to back with an included front pipe designed to accommodate stock and aftermarket DPs seamlessly, which is something not common in the market’s offerings, all while being priced very aggressively for the content of the system in comparison to said competitors. The Touring Edition is the perfect daily driver exhaust for this platform, and we hope you can see past the anxiety of not having a valve to enable you to enjoy the great soundtrack produced by the system. 🤠

​@@awetuningLOL, let's not get carried away! The stock Mopar is very similar to your setup minus the H Pipe is all. And the Tow n Go stock sounds almost exactly like the Touring one.

Our mid pipes omit the factory center resonator to enable the car to sound more aggressive. They're optional, not required, to run our SwitchPath or Track Edition.

Exhausts are always loudest upon initial installation. ~1k miles will break the exhaust in, allowing the interior of the exhaust to be coated with soot. This refines the exhaust note.

Prettier welds? We don't do unnecessary TIG welds as it doesn't add any benefit whatsoever -- same as fully polishing the pipes. These two aforementioned tactics are typically used to hide shortcomings elsewhere (rainbow welds trick you into thinking quality is high, and full polishing helps inferior metal from showing rust. Rigid construction, quality material, and signature soundtrack is what we're about! 👍

Easiest decision ever. Non-Res Touring is the cream of the crop.
